Tawus from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10850 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ثنا شَاهِينُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ: «إِنَّمَا يَهْدِي إِلَى أَحْسَنِ الْأَخْلَاقِ، وَإِنَّمَا يَصْرِفُ سَيِّئَهَا هُوَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said in his sermon: "Indeed, it is He alone who guides to the best of manners, and it is He alone who turns away bad manners."
