حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ عَائِشَةَ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: لَمْ يَنْهَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْأَرْضِ وَلَكِنَّهُ قَالَ: «لِأَنْ يَمْنَحَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ، خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ عَلَيْهَا أَجْرًا»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not forbid renting out land, but rather said: "For one of you to give land to his brother as a gift is better for him than taking a fee for it."
