Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10826 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When you
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْمُؤَدِّبُ، ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الضَّبِّيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الطَّائِفِيُّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا ابْتَعْتَ طَعَامًا فَلَا تَبِعْهُ حَتَّى تَقْبِضَهُ» قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: فَأَرَى مَا سِوَى ذَلِكَ مِنَ الْبَيْعِ مِثْلَ الطَّعَامِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you buy grain, do not sell it until you have taken possession of it." Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I consider all other sales to be like grain.
