Ali bin Abdullah bin Abbas from his father
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10635 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade fasting
حَدَّثَنَا مَسْعَدَةُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْعَطَّارُ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِزَامِيُّ، ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ، حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَميْد بْنِ عَبْدِ الْرَحْمَن بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: نَهَى عَنْ صِيَامِ رَجَبٍ كُلِّهِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade fasting the entire month of Rajab.
