Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10610 — On the day of the Conquest (of Makkah)

Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: On the day of the Conquest (of Makkah), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) entered (Makkah), and at that time there were three hundred and sixty idols placed on the Ka'bah, whose feet Iblis had fixed (into the ground) with lead. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came with his stick and began striking each idol with it, and it would fall on its face, and he kept saying: "The truth has come and falsehood has vanished; indeed falsehood is ever bound to vanish" [Surah al-Isra: 81], until he had done the same to all the idols.
