حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثنا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى يَوْمَ كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ فِي رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَأَرْبَعِ سَجْدَاتٍ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that on the day of the solar eclipse the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed four bowings (ruku') in two units (rak'ahs), with four prostrations.
