Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10569 — I saw Jibril (peace be upon him) twice
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ، ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، عَنْ أَبِي كُدَيْنَةَ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْمُهَلَّبِ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ جِبْرِيلَ مَرَّتَيْنِ، وَدَعَا لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ مَرَّتَيْنِ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "I saw Jibril (peace be upon him) twice, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated for wisdom for me twice."
