Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10511 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Souls are

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَعْمَرِيُّ، ثنا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ مُحْرِزٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، أَوَغَيْرِهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الْأَرْوَاحُ جُنُودٌ مُجَنَّدَةٌ، فَمَا تَعَارَفَ مِنْهَا ائْتَلَفَ، وَمَا تَنَاكَرَ مِنْهَا اخْتَلَفَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), or from another Companion, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Souls are like assembled troops; those among them that recognise one another come together in harmony, and those that are strangers to one another fall into discord."
