حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بَرَّةَ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أنا الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، لَمْ يَقُلْ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ
Imam al-Tabarani (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned another chain of this same hadith, which reaches the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) through al-Hasan bin Sa'd, from Abd al-Rahman bin Abdullah, from his father Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him); in it the words "al-Hasan bin Sa'd narrated from his father" do not appear.
