Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10294 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Food

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ خَالَوَيْهِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا زِيَادُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبَكَّائِيُّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «طَعَامُ يَوْمٍ حَقٌّ، وَطَعَامُ يَوْمَيْنِ سُنَّةٌ، وَطَعَامُ يَوْمِ الثَّالِثِ سُمْعَةٌ، وَمَنْ سَمَّعَ سَمَّعَ اللهُ بِهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Food on the first day is a right, food on the second day is a sunnah, and food on the third day is for show; and whoever shows off, Allah will expose him (for his showing off)."
