Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10072 — The recitation of the Messenger of Allah

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحَرِيشِ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزَّعْرَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: «كَانَتْ قِرَاءَةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تُعْرَفُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ بِتَحْرِيكِ لِحْيَتِهِ»

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: "The recitation of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the Zuhr and Asr prayers was recognised by the movement of his beard."
