Bilal bin Rabah (may Allah be pleased with him), the muezzin of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): a participant in Badr, his kunyah was Abu Abdullah
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 1005 — when Bilal lay down on his bed, he would
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو مُسْهِرٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُهَاجِرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، ثنا عُمَيْرُ بْنُ هَانِئٍ، عَنْ هِنْدٍ امْرَأَةِ بِلَالٍ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ بِلَالٌ إِذَا أَخَذَ مَضْجَعَهُ قَالَ: «اللهُمَّ تَجَاوَزْ عَنْ سَيِّئَاتِي وَاعْذُرْنِي بِعِلَّاتِي»
Hind, the wife of Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him), said that when Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) lay down on his bed, he would say: "O Allah, overlook my bad deeds, and hold me excused for my shortcomings."
