باب من روى عن ابن مسعود أنه لم يكن مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ليلة الجن
Chapter: Those who reported that Ibn Masud (may Allah be pleased with him) was not with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the Night of the Jinn
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10033 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: This

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ، ثنا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو الْأَجْلَحِ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ وَثَّابٍ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ هَذَا الدِّينَارَ وَالدِّرْهَمَ أَهْلَكَا مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ، وَلَا أُرَاهُمَا إِلَّا مُهْلِكَاكُمْ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This dinar and dirham destroyed those before you, and I do not think they will spare you from destruction too."
