It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Husayn bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), to test Ibn Sa'id, concealed "smoke" (dukhan) in his heart. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him: What have I hidden for you? He (giving an incomplete word with the help of devils) said: "Dukh." So he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Be gone in disgrace! You will never go beyond your capacity and your station." Then, when he turned his back and left, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked the Companions: "What did he say?" Some submitted that he had said "Dukh", and some said that he had said "Dikh". Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You are already differing among yourselves while I am present among you; after me your differences will be far more severe than this."
The chain of this hadith is hasan (good). Imam Ishaq bin Rahwayh narrated it in his Musnad, and the basis of this incident is also found in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah bin al-Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The fitnah I fear most for you is a man who has read the Qur'an, until, when you see the beauty and radiance of the Qur'an upon him and he has become a helper and protector of Islam, he will suddenly slip out of it completely, cast it behind his back, attack his neighbour with a drawn sword and accuse him of shirk (polytheism)." I said: O Prophet of Allah! Which of the two is more deserving of shirk: the accuser or the one accused? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Rather, the accuser (is more deserving of it)."
Imam Abu Ya'la narrated this hadith in his Musnad; Imam Ibn Hibban also recorded it in his Sahih, and this narration is jayyid (good) in its chain.
