It is narrated from Khalid bin Ar'arah that he asked about the saying of Allah Almighty "the planets that run and hide" [Surah al-Takwir: 16], what is meant by it. Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: "It refers to the stars", and he mentioned this within a long hadith.
Imam Ishaq bin Rahwayh recorded it in his Musnad.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) that, from the pulpit, he said concerning the saying of Allah Almighty "And when the souls are paired" [Surah al-Takwir: 7]: "The pairing of souls means that (on the Day of Resurrection) every kind of people will be gathered together with those who have similar traits and like conduct."
Imam Ahmad bin Mani' narrated this report, in which an excellent scholarly explanation is given of the joining of human beings with groups of their own disposition and qualities on the Day of Resurrection.
