قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، ثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ عِسْلٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ لَمْ يَتَغَنَّ بِالْقُرْآنِ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا . "
3485 \ 2 - وَقَالَ الْبَزَّارُ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، ثَنَا مَعْقِلُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، ثَنَا أَبُو أُمَيَّةَ بْنُ يَعْلَى ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ وَعِسْلٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، بِهَذَا .

3485 \ 3 - وَقَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ السَّدُوسِيُّ ، ثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ، ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عِسْلٍ ، بِهِ . قَالَ الْبَزَّارُ : مَا رَوَى شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عِسْلٍ إِلَّا هَذَا ، وَلَا رَوَاهُ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ إِلَّا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ وَمُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ .
3485 \ 2 - وَقَالَ الْبَزَّارُ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، ثَنَا مَعْقِلُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، ثَنَا أَبُو أُمَيَّةَ بْنُ يَعْلَى ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ وَعِسْلٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، بِهَذَا .

3485 \ 3 - وَقَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ السَّدُوسِيُّ ، ثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ، ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عِسْلٍ ، بِهِ . قَالَ الْبَزَّارُ : مَا رَوَى شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عِسْلٍ إِلَّا هَذَا ، وَلَا رَوَاهُ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ إِلَّا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ وَمُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ .
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever does not recite the Noble Qur'an with a beautiful voice is not one of us."
Imam al-Bazzar (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated something similar with his chain through Ishaq bin Ziyad, Ma'qil bin Malik and Abu Umayyah bin Ya'la, from Ayyub and Isl bin Sufyan, from Ibn Abi Mulaykah.
Imam al-Bazzar also stated through another chain that Abdullah al-Sadusi narrated it to us through Rawh bin Ubadah, from Shu'bah, from Isl. Imam al-Bazzar says that Imam Shu'bah narrated no hadith from Isl bin Sufyan other than this one, and no one narrated it from Shu'bah except Rawh bin Ubadah and Mu'adh bin Mu'adh.

وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، ( ثَنَا ) حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : إِنَّ أَبَا مُوسَى رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ وَنِسَاءُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَمِعْنَ ، ( فَقِيلَ ) لَهُ ، فَقَالَ : لَوْ عَلِمْتُ لَحَبَّرْتُهُ تَحْبِيرًا ، وَلَشَوَّقْتُهُ تَشْوِيقًا
صَحِيحٌ .

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) was reciting the Qur'an one night while the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) were listening to his beautiful recitation. Then when he was informed of this, he said: "Had I known (that they were listening), I would have adorned this recitation greatly and made it most moving and stirring."

وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ سَيْفٍ ، ثَنَا ( عَوْنُ ) بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، ثَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اقْرَؤُوا الْقُرْآنَ بِالْحُزْنِ ، فَإِنَّهُ نَزَلَ بِالْحُزْنِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Recite the Noble Qur'an with sorrow and a tender, moved heart, for it was revealed with sorrow and tenderness."
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded it in his Musnad; its chain contains narrators such as Isma'il bin Sayf and Awn bin Amr.
