3448 - قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ : حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، ثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ بُرْقَانَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ بِالْحِجْرِ مِنْ وَادِي ثَمُودَ فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَسْرِعُوا السَّيْرَ ، وَلَا تَنْزِلُوا بِهَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ الْمُهْلَكِ أَهْلُهَا " .
3448 - قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ : حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، ثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ بُرْقَانَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ بِالْحِجْرِ مِنْ وَادِي ثَمُودَ فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَسْرِعُوا السَّيْرَ ، وَلَا تَنْزِلُوا بِهَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ الْمُهْلَكِ أَهْلُهَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by al-Hijr in the valley of Thamud, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said (instructing the Companions): "Make your mounts go quickly, and do not by any means stop in this town whose inhabitants were destroyed (by Divine punishment because of their disbelief and disobedience)."
Ahmad bin Mani' recorded this hadith in his Musnad through Kathir bin Hisham and Ja'far bin Burqan from Yazid bin al-Asamm, and all of its narrators are reliable and thiqat (trustworthy).

وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، ثَنَا مُبَارَكٌ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ ، عَنِ السَّعْدِيِّ ، وَكَانَ السَّعْدِيُّ امْرَأَ صِدْقٍ . قَالَ : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَتَى عَلَى وَادِي ثَمُودَ فَقَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ : " اخْرُجُوا ، اخْرُجُوا ، فَإِنَّهُ وَادٍ مَلْعُونٌ خَبِيثٌ ، إِنْ لَا تَخْرُجُوا يُصِبْكُمْ كَذَا وَكَذَا " .
It is narrated from al-Sa'di (may Allah be pleased with him), who was a very truthful man, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived (during a journey) at the valley of the people of Thamud and said to his Companions: "Get out of here, leave here at once, for this is an accursed and foul valley. If you do not leave, the same thing (that is, punishment) will befall you as befell them."
