قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ يُسَيْرِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ ، وَفِيهِ : فَإِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيَجْمَعَ أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى ضَلَالَةٍ .
3023 \ 2 - أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ يُسَيْرِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : لَحِقْتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ ، وَقَالَ : وَإِنَّ اللهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى ، لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيَجْمَعَ أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى ضَلَالَةٍ .
يَأْتِي إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ بِتَمَامِهِ فِي الْفِتَنِ .
3023 \ 2 - أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ يُسَيْرِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : لَحِقْتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ ، وَقَالَ : وَإِنَّ اللهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى ، لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيَجْمَعَ أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى ضَلَالَةٍ .
يَأْتِي إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ بِتَمَامِهِ فِي الْفِتَنِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he narrated a hadith in which there was also this (statement): "Indeed Allah Almighty will never gather the Ummah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) upon misguidance."
According to another chain, Sayyiduna Abu Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), mentioning (the same) hadith, said: "And indeed it is not the way of Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, to gather the Ummah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) upon misguidance."
This report will come again, if Allah wills, in full detail in the Book of Trials (al-Fitan).
According to another chain, Sayyiduna Abu Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), mentioning (the same) hadith, said: "And indeed it is not the way of Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, to gather the Ummah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) upon misguidance."

وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى أَجَارَكُمْ مِنْ ثَلَاثٍ : أَنْ تَسْتَجْمِعُوا عَلَى ضَلَالَةٍ كُلُّكُمْ ، وَأَنْ يَظْهَرَ أَهْلُ الْبَاطِلِ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْحَقِّ ، وَأَنْ أَدْعُوَ عَلَيْكُمْ بِدَعْوَةٍ ، فَتَهْلِكُوا ، وَأَبْدَلَكُمَ بِهَذَا بِالدَّابَّةِ ، وَالدَّجَّالِ ، وَالدُّخَانِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed Allah Almighty has granted you protection from three dangerous things: first, that all of you gather together upon misguidance; second, that the people of falsehood overcome (completely) the people of truth; and third, that I make a supplication against you as a result of which you all perish. And in exchange for these (punishments), Allah Almighty has replaced them for you with the Beast (Dabbat al-Ard), the Dajjal and the Smoke (as trials)."
