Slaughter of the foetus

قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ : الْجَنِينُ يُذْبَحُ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ مَا فِيهِ مِنَ الدَّمِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: "The fetus is to be slaughtered so that all the blood inside it flows out."
وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : إِنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْجَنِينِ فَقَالَ : ذَكَاتُهُ ذَكَاةُ أُمِّهِ .
Ahmad bin Mani' said: It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the fetus (the young in its mother's womb), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Its (the fetus's) slaughter is the slaughter of its mother."
