قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْمُقْرِئُ ، عَنِ الْإِفْرِيقِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنَّ اللهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يُؤَيِّدُ الْإِسْلَامَ بِرِجَالٍ مَا هُمْ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, supports and aids Islam (the true religion) even through people who are not of its people (that is, its sincere followers)."
Ibn Abi Umar (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated this hadith with the chain: al-Muqri' from al-Ifriqi from Abdullah bin Yazid.

وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَامِرُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَيُؤَيِّدُ هَذَا الدِّينَ بِالرَّجُلِ الْفَاجِرِ .
صَحَّحَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ لَكِنْ أَخْرَجَهُ مِنْ طَرِيقِ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ زِرٍّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ .

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, supports and aids this religion of Islam even through a fajir (wicked) man."
