قَالَ الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا الْخَلِيلُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا ، ثَنَا مُجَالِدٌ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : جَاءَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : يَا مُحَمَّدُ ، نِعْمَ الْقَوْمُ أُمَتُّكَ ، لَوْلَا أَنَّ فِيهِمْ بَقَايَا مِنْ عَمَلِ قَوْمِ لُوطٍ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Jibril (peace be upon him) came into the noble presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! What an excellent and fine people your Ummah would be, were it not that some traces of the (vile) deed of the people of Lut remain among them."
حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ الْمُحَبَّرِ ، ثَنَا عَبَّادٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ : مَنْ عَمِلَ عَمَلَ قَوْمِ لُوطٍ فَاقْتُلُوهُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say on the blessed pulpit, "Whoever does the (immoral) deed of the people of Lut, kill him."
