قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ فِي الزُّهْدِ : حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ - هُوَ ابْنُ وَاقِعٍ - عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَنَانٍ اللَّخْمِيِّ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ بْنِ أَبِي عِيسَى الْخُرَاسَانِيِّ ، قَالَ : مَنْ صَلَّى الْفَرِيضَةَ فِي مَسْجِدِ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ فِي جَمَاعَةٍ ، كَانَتْ لَهُ بِخَمْسٍ وَعِشْرِينَ أَلْفَ صَلَاةٍ ، وَمَنْ صَلَّاهَا وَحْدَهُ كَانَتْ لَهُ أَلْفَ صَلَاةٍ .
Abdullah bin Ahmad narrated in Kitab al-Zuhd, through the chain of al-Hasan bin Waqi', Damrah and Abu Anan al-Lakhmi, from Sulayman bin Kaysan bin Abi Isa al-Khurasani that he said: "Whoever performs an obligatory prayer in congregation in the mosque of Bayt al-Maqdis will have the reward of twenty-five thousand prayers, and whoever performs it alone will have the reward of one thousand prayers."
وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحُصَيْنِ ، ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ ، ثَنَا ثَوْرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ أَبِي سَوْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ : قَالَتْ مَيْمُونَةُ بِنْتُ الْحَارِثِ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا - زَوْجُ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، أَفْتِنَا فِي بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ ؟ قَالَ : أَرْضُ الْمَحْشَرِ وَالْمَنْشَرِ ، إِيتُوهُ فَصَلُّوا فِيهِ ، فَإِنَّ صَلَاةً فِيهِ كَأَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ . قَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ لَمْ نُطِقْ مَحْمَلًا إِلَيْهَا ؟ قَالَ : فَلْيُهْدِ لَهُ زَيْتًا يُسْرَجُ فِيهِ ، مَنْ أَهْدَى إِلَيْهِ شَيْئًا كَانَ كَمَنْ صَلَّى لِلهِ فِيهِ .
قُلْتُ : عَمْرٌو وَشَيْخُهُ ضَعِيفَانِ جِدًّا ، وَهَذَا الْإِسْنَادُ خَطَأٌ . إِنَّمَا رَوَاهُ زِيَادُ بْنُ أَبِي سَوْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا - وَلَيْسَتْ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَخَبَّطَ يَحْيَى أَوْ عَمْرٌو فِي إِسْنَادِهِ ، وَهُوَ عِنْدَ أَبِي دَاوُدَ وَابْنِ مَاجَهْ عَلَى الصَّوَابِ .
قُلْتُ : عَمْرٌو وَشَيْخُهُ ضَعِيفَانِ جِدًّا ، وَهَذَا الْإِسْنَادُ خَطَأٌ . إِنَّمَا رَوَاهُ زِيَادُ بْنُ أَبِي سَوْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا - وَلَيْسَتْ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَخَبَّطَ يَحْيَى أَوْ عَمْرٌو فِي إِسْنَادِهِ ، وَهُوَ عِنْدَ أَبِي دَاوُدَ وَابْنِ مَاجَهْ عَلَى الصَّوَابِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyidah Maymunah bint al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), said: "O Messenger of Allah, give us a ruling about Bayt al-Maqdis." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is the land of the Gathering and the Resurrection. Go there and pray in it, for one prayer there is equal to a thousand prayers elsewhere." She said: "What if we are not able to travel there?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then send olive oil as a gift to be burned in its lamps; whoever gives anything as a gift to it is like one who prayed there for Allah." I (Ibn Hajar) say: Amr and his shaykh are both extremely weak, and this chain is mistaken; the correct version is that Ziyad bin Abi Sawdah narrated it from his brother Uthman, from Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), and she is not the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Yahya or Amr confused its chain, and it is found with Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah in its correct form.
