بَابُ النَّدْبِ إِلَى الْحَجِّ كُلَّ خَمْسَةِ أَعْوَامٍ

قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَقُولُ : إِنَّ عَبْدًا أَصْحَحْتُ لَهُ جِسْمَهُ ، وَأَوْسَعْتُ عَلَيْهِ فِي الْمَعِيشَةِ ، تَمْضِي عَلَيْهِ خَمْسَةُ أَعْوَامٍ لَا يَفِدُ إِلَيَّ لَمَحْرُومٌ .
1139 \ 2 - وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، بِهَذَا .
1139 \ 3 - وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ : أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ بِهِ .
قُلْتُ : اخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ عَلَى الْعَلَاءِ .
1139 \ 2 - وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، بِهَذَا .
1139 \ 3 - وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ : أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ بِهِ .
قُلْتُ : اخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ عَلَى الْعَلَاءِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said that Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, says: "Indeed, the servant whose body I have granted health and well-being, and whose livelihood and means I have made ample, and then five years pass over him and he does not come to Me (for Hajj or Umrah), is truly deprived (of a great blessing)."
Imam Abu Ya'la also recorded this narration with his chain through Imam Abu Bakr bin Abi Shaybah himself, and likewise Imam Abd al-Razzaq narrated it through Imam Sufyan al-Thawri from al-Ala' bin al-Musayyib; I (Ibn Hajar) say: there is a disagreement (among the narrators) over al-Ala' in the chain of this narration.
Imam Abu Ya'la also recorded this narration with his chain through Imam Abu Bakr bin Abi Shaybah himself, and likewise Imam Abd al-Razzaq narrated it through Imam Sufyan al-Thawri from al-Ala' bin al-Musayyib; I (Ibn Hajar) say: there is a disagreement (among the narrators) over al-Ala' in the chain of this narration.
وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْفُضَيْلِ بْنِ عِيَاضٍ ، ثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، ثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ خَبَّابٍ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، عَنْ خَبَّابِ بْنِ الْأَرَتِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَقُولُ : إِنَّ عَبْدًا أَصْحَحْتُ لَهُ جِسْمَهُ ، وَأَوْسَعْتُ عَلَيْهِ فِي الرِّزْقِ ، يَأْتِي عَلَيْهِ خَمْسُ حِجَجٍ لَمْ يَأْتِ إِلَيَّ فِيهِنَّ لَمَحْرُومٌ .
Imam Abu Ya'la related with his chain that it is narrated from Sayyiduna Khabbab bin al-Aratt (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said that Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, says: "Indeed, the servant whose body I have granted health and well-being, and whose provision I have made ample and abundant, and then five years pass over him and he does not present himself in My court (to attain the blessing of Hajj or Umrah), that person is truly deprived (of abundant good and immense reward)."
