إِسْحَاقُ : أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : هَذَا كِتَابٌ كَتَبَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - لِعَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ فِي فَرَائِضِ الْإِبِلِ وَالْغَنَمِ : وَفِي الْغَنَمِ إِذَا بَلَغَتْ أَرْبَعِينَ شَاةً شَاةٌ ، حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ عِشْرِينَ وَمِائَةً ، فَإِذَا جَاوَزَتْ عِشْرِينَ وَمِائَةً فَفِيهَا شَاتَانِ ، حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ مِائَتَيْنِ ، فَإِذَا جَاوَزَتْ مِائَتَيْنِ فَفِيهَا ثَلَاثُ شِيَاهٍ حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ ثَلَاثَمِائَةٍ ، فَإِذَا جَاوَزَتْ ثَلَاثَمِائَةٍ فَكَانَتْ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ تُعَدُّ فِي كُلِّ مِائَةِ شَاةٍ : شَاةٌ . وَفِي الْإِبِلِ فِي خَمْسٍ وَعِشْرِينَ بِنْتُ مَخَاضٍ ، فَإِنْ لَمْ تُوجَدْ فَابْنُ لَبُونٍ ، فَإِذَا بَلَغَتْ سِتًّا وَثَلَاثِينَ فَفِيهَا بِنْتُ لَبُونٍ ، فَإِذَا بَلَغَتْ سِتًّا وَأَرْبَعِينَ فَفِيهَا حِقَّةٌ حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ سِتِّينَ ، ثُمَّ فِيهَا جَذَعَةٌ حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ خَمْسًا وَسَبْعِينَ ، فَإِنَّ فِيهَا بِنْتَا لَبُونٍ حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ تِسْعِينَ ، فَإِذَا زَادَتْ فَفِيهَا حِقَّتَانِ إِلَى عِشْرِينَ وَمِائَةٍ ، فَإِذَا عَادَتْ تُعَدْ إِلَى أَوَّلِ فَرِيضَةٍ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ شَاةٍ ، حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ عِشْرِينَ وَمِائَةً ، فَإِذَا كَثُرَتْ فَفِي كُلِّ خَمْسِينَ حِقَّةٌ .
قَالَ حَمَّادٌ : أَخْبَرَنَا بِذَلِكَ قَيْسُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ .
قَالَ حَمَّادٌ : أَخْبَرَنَا بِذَلِكَ قَيْسُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ .
Hammad bin Salamah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "This is the letter which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wrote for Amr bin Hazm (may Allah be pleased with him) concerning the obligatory zakah on camels and goats: When goats reach forty, one goat is due on them up to one hundred and twenty. When they exceed one hundred and twenty, two goats are due up to two hundred; and when they exceed two hundred, three goats are due up to three hundred. When they are more than three hundred, one goat is due for every hundred goats. On camels, for twenty-five, one bint makhad is due, that is, a she-camel that has completed one year and entered its second; and if that is not available, then one ibn labun is to be given, that is, a male camel that has completed two years and entered its third. When the camels reach thirty-six, one bint labun is due, that is, a she-camel that has completed two years and entered its third. When they reach forty-six, one hiqqah is due up to sixty, that is, a she-camel that has completed three years and entered its fourth. Then up to seventy-five, one jadha'ah is due, that is, a she-camel that has completed four years and entered its fifth. Then up to ninety, two bint labun are due, and from above ninety up to one hundred and twenty, two hiqqahs are due. Then, when the number exceeds this, the additional camels are to be counted from the first obligation on camels, that is, one goat, until they reach one hundred and twenty; and when the camels are very many, one hiqqah is due for every fifty."
Hammad bin Salamah (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Qays bin Sa'd narrated this letter to us by way of Abu Bakr bin Amr bin Hazm.

وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَيُّوبَ ، وَعَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ السَّرَّاحِ ، وَعُبَيْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُونَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَرَأَ كِتَابَ عُمَرَ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - : لَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسٍ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ شَيْءٌ .... الْحَدِيثَ . مِثْلُ كِتَابِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ لِأَنَسٍ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا - .
Imam Abu Ya'la (may Allah have mercy on him) relates that Abu al-Rabi' narrated to us; Hammad bin Zayd (may Allah have mercy on him) told him: I heard Ayyub, Abd al-Rahman bin al-Sarrah and Ubaydullah bin Umar narrating from Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) that he read the letter of Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), in which it said: "No zakah is due on fewer than five camels." Then the narrator mentioned the complete hadith. This letter is like the letter that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote for Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him).
