وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ هُوَ أَبُو شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - يَطُوفُ بِهَذَا الْبَيْتِ ، يُنَادِي : لَا صَدَقَةَ إِلَّا عَنْ فَضْلِ الْعِيَالِ .
It is narrated from Ata bin Abi Rabah that he said: I saw Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) circling this House of Allah, while calling out loudly: "There is no sadaqah (accepted or best) except that which comes from wealth beyond the needs of one's family."
