It is narrated from Yahya that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) consulted Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) concerning those who had fallen into apostasy (ahl al-riddah). He said: "Indeed Allah Almighty has mentioned prayer and zakah together (in the Wise Qur'an), and it is not my view that any distinction should be made between them." At that, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said the (historic and decisive) words that he said.
Imam Musaddad said that 'iqal' means the hundred camels that are due as an obligation in zakah.
