قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، أَنْبَأَنِي خَيْثَمَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَسُبُّ الْمَيِّتَ كَالْمُشْرِفِ عَلَى الْهَلَكَةِ ، وَمَثَلُ الَّذِي يَجْلِسُ عَلَى فِرَاشِ الْمُغِيبَةِ ، مَثَلُ الَّذِي تُنَفَّسُ دُبُرُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ .
Khaythamah bin Abd al-Rahman (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "The example of one who reviles the deceased is like that of a person standing on the brink of destruction; and the example of one who sits on the bed of a woman whose husband is away from home is like that of a person whose backside will be widened on the Day of Resurrection."
