قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ ، قَالَ : صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ عُثْمَانَ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - عَلَى جَنَائِزِ رِجَالٍ وَنِسَاءٍ ، فَجَعَلَ الرِّجَالَ مِمَّا يَلِيهِ ، وَالنِّسَاءَ مِمَّا يَلِي الْقِبْلَةَ ، وَكَبَّرَ أَرْبَعًا .
It is narrated from Musa bin Talhah (may Allah have mercy on him) that he said: I prayed with Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) over several funerals of men and women together. He (may Allah be pleased with him) placed the men's biers on his own side, that is, near the imam, and the women's biers toward the qiblah, and he (may Allah be pleased with him) said four takbirs in the funeral prayer.
