وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيُّ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي حَكِيمٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - أَنَّهُ قَسَمَ بَيْنَ أَصْحَابِهِ تَمْرًا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَغْدُوَ إِلَى الْعِيدِ ، وَقَالَ : كُلُوا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَغْدُوا . فَقَدْ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ [أَبِي قَارِظٍ] ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَفْعَلُهُ .
أَخْرَجَهُ أَحْمَدُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - نَحْوَهُ .
أَخْرَجَهُ أَحْمَدُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - نَحْوَهُ .
It is narrated from Umar bin Abd al-Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) that before setting out for the Eid prayer he distributed dates among his companions and said: "Eat them before you go to the Eid prayer ground." For Ibrahim bin Abi Qariz narrated to us from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also used to do so."
Imam Ahmad narrated something similar to it through the narration of Ibn Aqil, from Ata' bin Yasar, from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him).
