قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، ثَنَا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ الزَّيَّاتِ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى أَسْمَعَ الْعَوَاتِقَ فِي خُدُورِهَا ... الْحَدِيثَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Bara' bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon to us (in so moving and loud a voice) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) made (his words) heard even by the secluded maidens inside their chambers."
The chain of this hadith contains Hamzah bin Habib al-Zayyat and Abu Ishaq al-Sabi'i; Imam Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili recorded it in his Musnad. This narration is the opening part of a long sermon delivered in the graveyard after a funeral prayer, the details of which are found in other books of hadith.
