وَقَالَ أَيْضًا : حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَعْدًا رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ : مَا كُنْتُ أَحْسَبُ أَنَّ أَحَدًا يَدَعُ الْغُسْلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "I never even imagined that anyone would leave off taking the ritual bath (ghusl) on Friday."
Imam Ibn Abi Shaybah narrated this report in al-Musannaf; in its chain Yazid bin Abi Ziyad is a da'if (weak) narrator, but there are other sahih hadith on the emphasis and importance of the Friday ritual bath.
