وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ قُرَّةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ بُدَيْلٍ ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَعْرَابِيٌّ قَالَ : " صَحِبْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، فَأَعْجَبَتْنِي أَخْلَاقُهُ كُلُّهَا ، غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْخَلَاءَ انْتَضَحَ " .
It is narrated from a Bedouin that he said: "I accompanied Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) and was greatly pleased by all his manners and qualities, except that it was his habit that whenever he went to the toilet to relieve himself, he would sprinkle water (on his clothes after finishing, to ward off misgivings and to be assured of purity)."
