حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّزَّالِ بْنِ سَبْرَةَ ، قَالَ : ( صَلَّى الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ بِالنَّاسِ ، فَأَعَادَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بِالنَّاسِ وَأَعَادَ الصَّلَاةَ ) .
It is narrated from al-Nazzal bin Sabrah (may Allah have mercy on him) that "al-Walid bin Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) led the people in prayer, so (because of some defect or reason in it) Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) led the people again and repeated that prayer."
The chain of this report is sahih (authentic), and Imam Ibn Abi Shaybah recorded it in his book al-Musannaf, hadith no. 444.
