قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ : حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَظَرَ قِبَلَ الْعِرَاقِ ، فَقَالَ : اللَّهُمَّ أَقْبِلْ بِقُلُوبِهِمْ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) stated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked towards the land of Iraq and supplicated: 'Allahumma aqbil bi-qulubihim' (O Allah, turn their hearts (towards the true religion and Your obedience)).
Imam Abu Dawud (may Allah have mercy on him) gave its chain as: Wuhayb, from Dawud, from Abu Nadrah, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri.
