It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that we set out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the year of (the Treaty of) Hudaybiyah, until, when we reached al-Suqya, Sayyiduna Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) called out and asked: "Who will fetch water for us in our waterskins?" Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I set out with some young men until we reached al-Uthayah. There we watered the animals and filled our own vessels with water too. He said: When a good part of the night had passed and darkness had fallen, suddenly a man appeared whose camel was pulling against him for the water. On looking closely, it was the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). So I took hold of his (peace and blessings be upon him) mount and made it kneel. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) stepped forward to lead and led the Isha prayer, while I stood on his (peace and blessings be upon him) right side. After that he (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed thirteen rak'ahs.
Its chain is hasan (good).
