[وَقَالَ إِسْحَاقُ ] : أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، ثَنَا مِنْدَلٌ الْعَنَزِيُّ ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ خَلَّادٍ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الْأُولَيَيْنِ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَسُورَةٍ ، وَفِي الْآخِرَتَيْنِ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ .

Ali bin Yahya bin Khallad (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his paternal uncle (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite Surah al-Fatihah and another surah in the first two rak'ahs (of the prayer), and only Surah al-Fatihah in the last two."
