قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : أَخْبَرَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ مَرْزُوقِ بْنِ أَبِي الْهُذَيْلِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا رَجَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ طَلَبِ الْأَحْزَابِ وَنَزَلَ الْمَدِينَةَ اغْتَسَلَ وَاسْتَجْمَرَ وَوَضَعَ عَنْهُ لَأْمَتَهُ .
هَذَا إِسْنَادٌ حَسَنٌ .

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) returned from pursuing the army of the Confederates (al-Ahzab, the enemy bands) and halted in Madinah, he (peace and blessings be upon him) took a bath (ghusl), perfumed himself with incense, and took off his battle dress, armour and so on."
