حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : كُلُّ سَبَبٍ وَنَسَبٍ مُنْقَطِعٌ غَيْرَ نَسَبِي وَسَبَبِي .
وَحَدِيثُ الْمِسْوَرِ فِي مَنَاقِبِ فَاطِمَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا .

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Every lineage, descent and tie will be cut off (on the Day of Resurrection) except my lineage and my tie."
