قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْمُقْرِئُ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْإِفْرِيقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْغَازِي الْعَنْسِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : إِنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : إِنَّ مِنْ خِيَارِ النَّاسِ الْأُمْلُوكَ ؛ أُمْلُوكَ حِمْيَرَ ، وَشَعْبَانَ ، وَالسَّكُونِ ، وَالْأَشْعَرِيِّينَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Indeed, among the best of people are the Amluk, that is, the Amluk of Himyar, as well as the people of the tribes of Sha'ban, al-Sakun and the Ash'aris."
