The Successor Thabit al-Bunani (may Allah have mercy on him) relates: Whenever I came to Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), he would be informed of my arrival, so I would go in to him, then take hold of both his hands and kiss them, and say: "May my father be ransomed for these two hands which touched the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) (his blessed body)." And I would kiss both his eyes and say: "May my father be sacrificed for these two eyes which beheld the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)."
The chain of this hadith is jayyid (good); Imam Abu Ya'la recorded it in his Musnad (4078) and Imam al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman.
