قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَمَانٍ ، ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ حُرَيْثٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ : ذَهَبَتْ بِي أُمِّي إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِي وَدَعَا لِي بِالرِّزْقِ .
4055 \ 2 - حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبٌ ، هُوَ ابْنُ بَقِيَّةَ ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ مَوْلَى عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا - قَالَ : ذَهَبَ بِي أَبِي وَأُمِّي .. الْحَدِيثَ .
4055 \ 2 - حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبٌ ، هُوَ ابْنُ بَقِيَّةَ ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ مَوْلَى عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا - قَالَ : ذَهَبَ بِي أَبِي وَأُمِّي .. الْحَدِيثَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Amr bin Hurayth (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "My mother took me to the noble presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his blessed hand over my head and supplicated for me for provision (for its abundance and blessing)."
Also, in another chain, it is narrated from Sayyiduna Amr bin Hurayth (may Allah be pleased with him) himself that he said: "My father and my mother (both) took me (to the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him))," and then the narrator related the complete hadith.
