قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، ثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي جَنَابٍ ، عَنْ إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ ، عَنِ الْجَهْدَمَةِ امْرَأَةِ بَشِيرِ بْنِ الْخَصَاصِيَّةِ ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ الْخَصَاصِيَّةِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مِمَّنْ أَنْتَ ؟ قُلْتُ : مِنْ رَبِيعَةَ ، قَالَ : مِنْ رَبِيعَةَ الْفَرَسِ الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ لَوْلَاهُمُ انْتَقَلَتِ الْأَرْضُ بِأَهْلِهَا ، أَحْمَدُ اللهَ الَّذِي مَنَّ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ بَيْنِ رَبِيعَةَ .
Al-Jahdamah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of Sayyiduna Bashir bin al-Khasasiyyah (may Allah be pleased with him), narrates from Sayyiduna Bashir bin al-Khasasiyyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked me: "Which tribe do you belong to?" I said: "I am from Rabi'ah." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You are from Rabi'at al-Faras (Rabi'ah of the horses)? Those about whom people say that, were it not for them, the earth would have been overturned along with its inhabitants. I praise Allah Almighty, who has bestowed His favour and grace specially upon you out of the whole tribe of Rabi'ah (by blessing you with the gift of Islam)."
