It is narrated from Imam Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) recited on the pulpit these words of Allah Almighty: "Gardens of Eden" [Surah Maryam: 61], then he said: "None will enter it except one who is either a prophet: 'Congratulations to you, O occupant of the grave (the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him))!' (and he pointed towards the blessed grave of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)), or one who is a siddiq (truthful one): 'Congratulations to you, O Abu Bakr!', or one who is a martyr; and how could Umar ever attain martyrdom! Yet the One who brought me out of my house at al-Hathmah is certainly able to bring martyrdom (by itself) to me."
The chain of this report is hasan (good); Ibn Abi Shaybah recorded it in al-Musannaf (34674) and Ahmad in Fada'il al-Sahabah (573).
