قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى الْجُهَنِيُّ ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ أَرْبَدَ النَّخَعِيِّ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَتْ : دَخَلَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْبَيْتَ وَأَنَا جَالِسَةٌ عِنْدَ الْبَابِ ، فَاطَّلَعْتُ وَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُقَلِّبُ شَيْئًا بِكَفِّهِ ، وَالصَّبِيُّ نَائِمٌ عَلَى بَطْنِهِ ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، رَأَيْتُكَ تُقَلِّبُ شَيْئًا بِكَفِّكَ وَالصَّبِيُّ نَائِمٌ عَلَى بَطْنِكَ وَدُمُوعُكَ تَسِيلُ ؟ فَقَالَ : إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ أَتَانِي بِالتُّرْبَةِ الَّتِي يُقْتَلُ فِيهَا ، وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ أُمَّتَكَ يَقْتُلُونَهُ .
It is narrated from the Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), that Sayyiduna al-Husayn bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with them both) came in to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) inside the house while I was sitting near the door. I peeped in and saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) turning something over in his palm, while the child was asleep on his (peace and blessings be upon him) blessed stomach. I said: "O Messenger of Allah, I saw you turning something over in your palm while the child was asleep on your blessed stomach and tears were streaming from your eyes?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed Jibril (peace be upon him) brought me the soil of the land on which he will be martyred, and he informed me that your Ummah will surely kill him."
