قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : ثَنَا قَيْسُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ ، لَمَّا قُتِلَ عُمَرُ قَالَتْ أُمُّ أَيْمَنَ : الْيَوْمَ وَهَى الْإِسْلَامُ .
ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ قَبِيصَةَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ .

It is narrated from Tariq bin Shihab that when Sayyiduna Umar al-Faruq (may Allah be pleased with him) was martyred, Sayyidah Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "Today Islam (its foundations) has been weakened."
