It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that a woman came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) so that he (peace and blessings be upon him) might pass his blessed hand over her face for blessing and kindness. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his hand over her face and supplicated for good for her. Then the woman said: "O Messenger of Allah! Lower your blessed hand further (towards the chest)," at a time when he (peace and blessings be upon him) had already brought his blessed hand to the area of her chest. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) pushed her away from himself and said: "Get back from me."
In this narration of Musaddad, Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) is not mentioned, whereas in the narration of Imam Abu Ya'la he is mentioned explicitly. In it, it is stated that women used to come to him (peace and blessings be upon him) and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would pass his hand over their faces and supplicate for them, but when this woman asked him to lower his hand further, he (peace and blessings be upon him) pushed her back and said: "Get away from me."
