وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا جُبَارَةُ ، ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَرَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا - قَالَ : إِنَّ رَجُلًا نَادَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلَاثًا ، كُلَّ ذَلِكَ يَرُدُّ عَلَيْهِ : لَبَّيْكَ ، لَبَّيْكَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man called out to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) three times, and each time he (peace and blessings be upon him) answered him, saying: 'Labbayk, labbayk' (Here I am, here I am).
