It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever recites Surah Ya Sin seeking the pleasure and good will of Allah Almighty will be forgiven. Whoever recites Surah Ya Sin, it is as if he receives the reward of reciting the Noble Qur'an twelve times. And whoever recites Surah Ya Sin while in the throes of death and the agonies of dying, Ridwan, the angel who is the keeper of Paradise, will come with a drink from the drinks of Paradise and give it to him to drink on his very bed, until he dies with his thirst quenched, and on the Day of Resurrection he will also be raised from the grave with his thirst quenched."
Ahmad bin Mani' transmitted this report in his Musnad. In its chain is the narrator named Yusuf bin Atiyyah al-Saffar al-Basri, who according to the imams of hadith is matruk (abandoned) and extremely weak; therefore this report is weak in its chain and cannot be used as proof.
