وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، ثَنَا الْعَوَّامُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي مَوْلًى لِعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا - قَالَ : رَأَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الشَّمْسَ حِينَ غَرَبَتْ ، فَقَالَ : فِي نَارِ اللهِ الْحَامِيَةِ ، لَوْلَا مَا يَزَعُهَا مِنْ أَمْرِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَأَهْلَكَتْ مَا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ .
3656 \ 3 - وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بِهِ .

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw the sun as it was setting, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It (sets) in the intensely hot, blazing fire of Allah. Were it not that the command of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, restrains it and holds it back, it would destroy everything upon the earth."
Abu Bakr bin Abi Shaybah, Ahmad bin Mani' and Abu Ya'la narrated this hadith through the chain of Yazid bin Harun, in which a mawla (freed slave) of Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) is a narrator; this report is also found in the Musnad of Ahmad.
Abu Bakr bin Abi Shaybah, Ahmad bin Mani' and Abu Ya'la narrated this hadith through the chain of Yazid bin Harun, in which a mawla (freed slave) of Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) is a narrator; this report is also found in the Musnad of Ahmad.
