وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ السَّائِحِينَ ؟ فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : هُمُ الصَّائِمُونَ .
هَذَا مُرْسَلٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ .

It is narrated from Ubayd bin Umayr (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about "al-sa'ihin", and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "They are those who fast."
This narration is mursal, and its chain is sahih (authentic).
